Goodbye, With A Smile

I may not live a hundred years
As some old ladies do these days
But I have cried a million tears
And gone in many different ways.

So many lifetimes rolled together
Make me what I am, so strong
That I can face all kinds of weather
Whether it be right or wrong.

Knowing inside that I am true
To all that I believe as right
I stopped and saw the dewdrops too,
That came from heaven's darkest night.

I smell the flowers on the way
And please just let it be said
That I rejoice at every day
As only by happiness am I led.

For I shall leave a smile, a joke
On faces that I have come to know
With little things I did or spoke
So, with a smile, just let me go.
