Daytime Blessings

Warm rays of sunshine greet the morning
And the smell of springtime is in the air
Birds can be heard cheerfully chirping
As two cats in the window look debonair

You can find them each daylight hour
Sitting and watching the world pass by
Stretching and yawning in the sunshine
And never once having a reason to cry

A life of luxury they have been granted
And are fortunate to call this their home
As once they were tiny little stray's
Who were left on the streets to roam

Two little kittens with no food to eat
Living in a cold and lonely town
Were soon picked up by a very nice man
But he placed them in a local pound

Then one day the two Kittens were adopted
And have now lived here for many years
As each day they count their blessings
For no longer do they live in fear
