Emerson said Consistency is when a great
soul has simply nothing to do.
Is there such a
thing as having nothing to do? I don't ever
recall a time when there was nothing to do and
I am certainly not asking for a time like that.
My lists get longer and longer but I don't mind
because it means I am alive.. alert and
awake ..well almost.
I take a deep
breath it seemed the ground takes a deep
breath and grows grass like mad the draperies
are frayed the gardens needs weeded firewood needs to be moved and a
dozen other things I never noticed doing all the
time.. are asking for attention.
But I will
get it all done and have time to read a book as
well.
Books, music, pets and flowers are
a must. They round us out and give us something
extra that we could never do alone. And we are
never alone as long as there are neighbors
family and friends —
