The Day The Cat Went Shopping
What is that you are asking me
Just where have I been today
Listen up and I'll tell you
Pay attention to what I say
I got so lonesome just sitting here
Waiting for you to come on home
Sneaking out your bedroom window
I went to the mall by the big dome
As people stopped and stared at me
I continued on my merry way
Searching to find the Old Navy store
And their great bargains of the day
A cat on the prowl in a busy mall
Is a very funny sight to see
Trying so hard to carry my bags
With the goodies I got for free
I know your extremely upset with me
But you are the only one to blame
Knowing that I am bored and lonely
Your leaving each day is the same
Just wait until the bill comes in
And then you will have a fit
Maxing out all your credit cards
I calmly grin at you as I sit
Love and purrs for caring for me
But let this be a final warning
If I'm left again here all alone
You'll regret it in the morning
