Day's Affections ;
Revealed

As I rise into the forenoon to face another day
to sip my A.M. coffee or gaze the morning gray;
your tone a gentle calling to my heart as it speaks,
your face a kind reminder of surprises yet to peak.
I serve you up some breakfast, you wait a taste of mine,
eyes across the kitchen whisper happiness of kind,
you pat upon my hand, as you rub against my cheek;
generating joys, (in the heart) so many seek.

We face new dawn together, each at the others side,
you glance in my direction then scamper off and hide
until the noon comes calling and lunch again we meet,
as I dress another platter, you dance upon my feet.
I clean up in the kitchen while you nap there on the couch,
I fold up all the laundry and take the garbage out,
I make the bedrooms tidy and brush the dust away
before I barely notice, time again it has proclaimed...

That..., mealtime has fallen, a moment we can share
again in preparation I stop to stroke your hair,
you kiss me oh so sweetly as your whiskers strike my face,
you finish off the plateful and again you take your place.
The evening romp is over as I curl up in the chair
I think of days events and how great to have you there
then as I start to drift off and I'm just about to dose
you grace upon my chest, sending tickles to my nose.

We snuggle for the time left, in yet another eve
as you purr me into slumberland, I slowly drift to sleep,
my heart forever yours, I gently dream away,
then pounce, pounce, pounce... Kitty wants to play!

Come ON..Lets Skate!!
